We are pleased to welcome our new ELAW Fellow, Izamar Rivera!

Izamar is a Junior Legal Officer at Instituto de Derecho Ambiental de Honduras (Environmental Law Institute of Honduras, IDAMHO). She is here in Eugene, on sabbatical, to improve her English.

ELAW is sponsoring Izamar and making it possible for her to participate in the spring term at Lane Community College’s English as a Second Language Program.

“Fluency in English is important,” says Izamar. “The ESL Program will help me tap legal and scientific information only available in English, and participate more easily in international gatherings.”
