Petitioners asked the Supreme Court to issue a writ of mandamus or other remedies that would include requiring a long list of government authorities to take several actions to better address climate change, including an order to put plans, policies and programs in place and to draft a new law to address climate adaptation and mitigation. Order at pgs. 5-6.

 

The Court ordered government authorities to adopt and implement a law to address climate adaptation and mitigation.
