Imrich Arrives

June 16, 2011

Dear friends,

Imrich Vozár arrived Monday night from Banská Bystrica, Slovakia.  He is here for a 10-day ELAW Fellowship.  Imrich is an attorney with VIA IURIS, Slovakia's leading public interest environmental law organization.

ELAW has collaborated with VIA IURIS for more than 15 years.

This is Imrich's first visit to the U.S.  He is working one-on-one with ELAW staff while finding time to explore Eugene on the ELAW bicycle.  Imrich is gathering tools and resources to advance his work back home calling for an accountable judiciary, accountable public officials, and responsible citizens.

While in Eugene, Imrich will visit the Lane County Circuit Court, the Federal Court, and tour state-of-the-art recycling facilities at NextStep and Bring.

Read more about Imrich and his work at our blog, the ELAW Spotlight.

Sincerely,

Maggie Keenan
