Ces avocats travaillaient ensemble lors d\u2019une conf\u00e9rence de droit d\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat public \u00e0 la facult\u00e9 de droit de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de l\u2019Oregon. Au fil de leurs discussions, ils ont d\u00e9couvert que les communaut\u00e9s de leurs pays \u00e9taient confront\u00e9es \u00e0 des d\u00e9fis similaires en mati\u00e8re d\u2019environnement et de droits de l\u2019homme. Inspir\u00e9s par la passion et le travail de chacun, ils ont r\u00e9alis\u00e9 qu&#039;en partageant des strat\u00e9gies et des informations juridiques et scientifiques, ils seraient plus efficaces dans la d\u00e9fense des communaut\u00e9s et de l&#039;environnement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ils ont commenc\u00e9 leur collaboration transfrontali\u00e8re d\u00e8s les d\u00e9buts du courrier \u00e9lectronique. L&#039;\u00e9quipe d&#039;ELAW a parcouru le monde pour \u00e9tablir des relations et connecter les d\u00e9fenseurs et leurs organisations via le r\u00e9seau ELAW.
