Loi du Bénin sur le plastique  Law No 2017/39 of December 26, 2017
 
La loi interdit la production, l'importation, l'exportation, la vente, la conservation, la distribution et l'utilisation de sacs en plastique non biodégradables (articles 2 à 4).

La loi définit un sac comme « un petit sac ou contenant avec ou sans poignées » mais ajoute qu'un sac biodégradable est «un petit sac qui se dégrade suite aux activités des micro-organismes et de l'oxygène ». (Article 1).
