Paris Agreement Pullout

This Thursday, President Trump announced that the United States would pull out of the Paris Agreement.

In 2015, 195 nations signed the Paris Agreement, and committed to working together to prevent catastrophic climate change by capping global temperature rise at 2 degrees celsius above pre-Industrial levels.

ELAW U.S. is shocked and disappointed by the decision of the Trump Administration to leave the Paris Agreement.

Yesterday, ELAW Executive Director Bern Johnson was interviewed on television about the U.S. pulling out of the Agreement.

According to Bern, “There is worldwide momentum towards working together to protect the climate.”

We are committed to collaborating with ELAW partners around the world to protect the climate and advocate for climate justice.

Check out Bern’s interview on the KMTR website.
